I had a great meal and sleep. Suzanne washed all my clothes including the sleeping bag, tent and rain gear. Today is a geocache day and check out the bike day.
One of the geocache clues was supposed to be on a monument that was removed for repairs but the cache owner gave the answer on the web page'
A total of eight other clues were in the downtown area.
The final was just where it was supposed to be. This one was easy compared to some of the others.
I went downtown this morning and did the the Great White North GeoTour - Fredericton and had a nice tour and history lesson of the downtown area. This is my seventh of the ten and I will be on the road tomorrow to get the PEI cache in Charlottown. This is my progress so far:
Victoria - May 30
Edmonton - June 17
Regina - June 23
Winnipeg - June 28
Toronto - July 15
Quebec - July 23
Fredericton - July 28
Charlottown ( )
Saint John's ( )
Halifax ( )
and the Final in Ottawa ( )
I stopped at Savages and got new brake pads for the front. They were very busy but took my bike and did the work because I was on a cross country tour.
When I got back to the apartment I found a bench outside and took the rear tire and placed it on the front and the front on back. There was more wear on the back tire because of the extra weight. I also oiled the chain and installed a new mirror. So the bike is ready for the rest of the trip.
Suzanne in the kitchen getting supper ready
The chef on the patio cooking the steaks.
And... the results of all their work. Another great meal.
My hosts for two days. I tried to convince them to meet me on the road and cook me supper tomorrow, but no such luck.
Ready to eat my meal
Murielle and Lloyd Sutherland came over to say hello
A little fuzzy but here are the four of us.
